The NEMO Consortium implements the entire “value chain” for a neuromorphic processing platform (full stack) – from hardware devices, to the operating system and its interfaces and tools for various applications.
Ultra-low power – The NEMO Consortium’s neuromorphic processing platform combines various strategies to reduce its processing power, including– in memory processing, analog AI processing technology, sub threshold processing neuron technology and a significantly lower number of neurons and synapses, which will enable sub-milli-watt power consumption.
Flexible – Implementation of hybrid solutions for Spiking Neural Networking (SNN) & analog Artificial Neural Networking (ANN). The platform’s modular architecture will enable support of larger number of neurons and synapses where needed.
Transforming Real-World Applications
Neuromorphic processing technology can provide a solution for multiple real-world applications which require intelligence at the edge with minimal processing power. Sample applications include:
Medical brain implant sensing electric activity with neuromorphic processing at the edge, in real time & minimal power. The wearable and portable nature of the processing unit requires for minimal power processing to enable operation throughout the day.
Event camera based on neuromorphic technology installed on autonomous platforms. The autonomous machines require local image capture & processing capability, for fast events, with minimal power consumption.
